BECOME A WRITER FOR REALDEVOTIONS

Here is all you need to know to jooin us as a writer. If you have any questions, just let us know:

IMPORTANT: When contacting us for the first time, please give us your name, email and age. If you have any samples of previous writing, please include them. Please give us a short "bio" about yourself and why you feel lead to write for Real Devotions, we want to get to know you! Also, please indicate your agreement with our statement of faith. We reserve the right to edit or refuse material that does not support our statement of faith and/or honor the complete truth of God's word

There are several ways to contribute material:

1. Individual devotional entries used for either the main website, or in the "notes" section of the FB page. Generally, we like to try and limit full entries to 400-500 words. Everyone who agrees to write for us must read and agree to our Statement of Faith, found here

While we do reserve the right to edit material for space considerations, all submitted material remains the property of the writer. Writers agree to grant us the right of usage to publish the material in any form: web, print, email, etc. All material is properly credited to the author. As we develop the program, we will establish an author directory with a short bio sketch, and a link to the author's personal, business/ministry or church website of their choice.

2. Material can be submitted for direct use on the FB wall (limited to 420 characters, including spaces) and/or our twitter feed (http://www.twitter.com/realdevotions - limited to 140 characters, including spaces).

you can submit material either in a Word document (if you do, try and keep formatting to a minimum. Word "thinks" it's so "smart" that sometimes, formatting causes problems), or a text file attached to an email. You can also copy & paste directly into an email if that's easier, but we generally prefer Word documents, but don't require them.

There are no deadlines, we simply ask that material be submitted as it is written. We do encourage writers to try and submit one devotional per month. (If writing shorter length for Twitter or the FB wall, we encourage weekly submissions). Due to space limitations, credit will not be given for submissions to Twitter or the FB wall (unless in the form of a web link to the author's page of choice, when possible), but all other entries (to the main website and the notes section of FB) are always properly credited. For privacy and security purposes, we use first name only, unless the author specifically requests the use of first & last names.

To submit material, you can email attached files to me @ This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

We do not supply subjects to write about, we simply ask our writers to share what God puts on their heart. He knows much better than we do what needs to be said and when.

That should cover the basics. If you have any additional questions, please let me know. Thank you for considering the invitation to join us as a writer! If you know of others who may be interested as well, please share Real Devotions with them, pass along this info and ask them to pray about joining us!

Blessings!
